Hi! I'm Emilie, a former math and science teacher and current stay-at-home wife and mother of two. I am so glad you're here! I take my role as 'gatekeeper of the home' seriously and am very intentional about the products that come in contact with my family. When I looked at the ingredient lists on grocery store cakes, I couldn't believe how many ingredients were listed and how many of them that I recognized as harmful to our health. So, I took my love of baking, instilled by my grandmother, and I taught myself how to bake the most delicious cakes with the cleanest ingredients and how to decorate with classic clean designs. Unlike grocery stores or traditional bakeries, Clean Cakes offers the most delicious cakes with best-in-class ingredients to Charleston, South Carolina. When you order a clean cake, I use grass-fed organic dairy, pasture-raised eggs, avocado oil, unbleached and unenriched organic flour, organic fruit, pure vanilla, and organic cane sugar. My cakes will never contain artificial food dyes, preservatives, inflammatory oils, bleached ingredients, GMO products, or imitation, "natural", or artificial flavors (with the exception of added theme decor that is intended to be removed before serving). To simplify this process, cakes will be funfetti cake (dye free of course) with vanilla buttercream. If you prefer chocolate or vanilla cake instead, just message me! All cakes are delivered to you or meet up in Mt.P, IOP, DI, Downtown, or Park Circle. There is currently no pick up option.
